Lake Tahoe is not all about the lake. If you’ve lived here long enough, you eventually start appreciating locations away from the lake. Such as the huge meadow behind the Lake Tahoe Airport, along the Upper Truckee River.
Photographing portraits for so many years here in Tahoe, I always get excited when I get to go to a different location. I still of course carefully pick the time of the day for best light.
My best friends, Carrie and Keith, their Vizslas and I walked a bit before we arrived to our portrait spot. The setting sun provided the most spectacular light for us and it was very easy to capture some amazing moments!
